Obama: 'We Don’t Have a Spending Problem'

According to John Boehner, Obama is tired of hearing people saying that we have a spending problem.

From Ben Shapiro, Breitbart's Big Government:

In an interview with Stephen Moore of the Wall Street Journal, newly re-elected House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) opened up about President Obama’s utter unwillingness to cut a single dollar from federal spending. In a stunning admission, Obama reportedly told Boehner, “We don’t have a spending problem.”

Boehner added that President Obama continues to maintain that America’s federal deficit is caused not by governmental overspending but by “a health-care problem.” Said Boehner, “They blame all of the fiscal woes on our health-care system.” Boehner told Obama, “Clearly we have a health-care problem, which is about to get worse with Obamacare. But, Mr. President, we have a very serious spending problem.” Obama eventually replied, “I’m getting tired of hearing you say that.”
This is scary.

Four more years of "We don't have a spending problem."

It's so discouraging. It's depressing. No hope.

Obama, the Fiscal Cliff, and Saddam Hussein

As Obama makes his lame remarks about the fiscal cliff, he's using middle class families as props, standing behind him, smiling and laughing and adoring him.

Oh, come let us adore him!

It reminds me of Saddam Hussein surrounding himself with children. What a great guy!

I am so disgusted by the Obama cult of personality. I'm sick of his class warfare and his outright lies.

Obama's staged pep rally is nauseating.

It's painful witnessing the downfall of my country.

2013 - oh, goody.

Obama and the Fiscal Cliff

We know Obama is prepared to go over the fiscal cliff.

He's not negotiating with Republicans. Obama just wants it to look that way.

The clueless will buy his BS lines and Obama can blame Republicans for his mess.

Obama - good; Republicans - bad.

Under Obama's "tax the rich" plan, the fiscal crisis wouldn't be averted. That's a total joke. It's not a plan at all.

Amid all the political and media hoopla about the "fiscal cliff" crisis, there are a few facts that are worth noting.

First of all, despite all the melodrama about raising taxes on "the rich," even if that is done it will scarcely make a dent in the government's financial problems. Raising the tax rates on everybody in the top two percent will not get enough additional tax revenue to run the government for ten days.
It's disgusting that Obama is lying to the American people and the Leftist media are allowing him to get away with it. They're enabling the deception.
And what will the government do to pay for the other 355 days in the year?

All the political angst and moral melodrama about getting "the rich" to pay "their fair share" is part of a big charade. This is not about economics, it is about politics. Taxing "the rich" will produce a drop in the bucket when compared to the staggering and unprecedented deficits of the Obama administration.

No previous administration in the entire history of the nation ever finished the year with a trillion dollar deficit. The Obama administration has done so every single year. Yet political and media discussions of the financial crisis have been focussed overwhelmingly on how to get more tax revenue to pay for past and future spending.

The very catchwords and phrases used by the Obama administration betray how phony this all is. For example, "We are just asking the rich to pay a little more."

This is an insult to our intelligence. The government doesn't "ask" anybody to pay anything. It orders you to pay the taxes they impose and you can go to prison if you don't.
Obama should be honest and quit distorting reality.

He should tell the American people that his plan to soak the rich will be utterly ineffective. It's all smoke and mirrors.

Obama should tell the truth.

The real cliff he's leading us over is so much deeper than he's willing to admit.

Paul Ryan and Charlie Sykes (Audio)

Listen to Charlie Sykes interview Paul Ryan.
Congressman Paul Ryan reflects on his bid to become the next Vice President of the United States and offers his perspective on the fiscal cliff negotiations, in which he is a key cog for the GOP.
Hearing that Paul Ryan has come to terms with the results of the election makes me realize that I haven't.

I still feel sick when I think about what almost was and what is.

Instead of fearing the future under Obama, I would be hopeful and anticipating the new administration.

So many of my family's economic decisions would be different if Obama had lost and change for the better was a reality.

Still, I'm thankful Paul Ryan remains in Washington, working to improve our country.

I'm sick that the smug Obama is playing politics with our lives.

"Fiscal cliff" this, Obama.

#My2K and Obama (Video)

Obama wants Americans to tweet.

It is amazing that the president of the United States is asking citizens to go on Twitter and Facebook. He's promoting a hashtag!

That's part of his plan.

Stunningly lame.

Here's video:

Transcript
OBAMA: So today, I'm asking Congress to listen to the people who sent us here to serve. I'm asking Americans all across the country to make your voice heard. Tell members of Congress what a $2,000 tax hike would mean to you. Call your members of Congress, write them an email, post it on their Facebook walls. You can tweet it using the hashtag 'My2K.'
Is Obama really such a dunce when it comes to the economy?

Why doesn't he tell Americans the truth?

Obama's plan to tax the "rich" would be effective, but not for long.

How long?

EIGHT DAYS!

President Barack Obama has proposed raising taxes on the rich to put America's fiscal house in order, but critics say federal spending is so massive that the wealthy don't have enough money to cover the nation's unprecedented debt.

In an interview with MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell, Rep. Tom Price (R-GA) said President Barack Obama's plan to raise taxes on the wealthy would only generate enough revenue to fund the federal government for eight days.

"The president’s plan to increase taxes on the upper two percent covers the spending by this federal government not for eight years, not for eight months, not for eight weeks but for eight days. Eight days only," said Mr. Price. "It’s not a real solution. So, again, I’m puzzled by an administration that seems to be more interested in raising tax rates than in gaining economic vitality."

The problem is that the rich don't have enough money to put so much as a dent in America's $16 trillion national debt. "If the IRS grabbed 100 percent of income over $1 million, the take would be just $616 billion," writes John Stossel. "That’s only a third of this year’s deficit. Our national debt would continue to explode."

Still, Mr. Obama's supporters persist in proposing tax hikes on the wealthy.
This is all so depressing.

Obama is selling a plan that would solve our problems for just EIGHT DAYS?

Good grief.

We're witnessing the country commit suicide. Obama is overseeing its self destruction.

I certainly don't trust Obama to be responsible.

I no longer trust the majority of the American people to behave responsibly. Most will mooch. Why bother working?

Taxing the "rich" isn't a solution at all, but Obama wants us to tell our representatives in Congress to do it anyway.

What leadership!

Happy tweeting!

Obama: 'Forward'

I dread the future.

No hope is on the horizon.

Hovde: Eight Things About Obama

Eric Hovde, former candidate for the U.S. Senate, has paid for the following ad.

Right Wisconsin reports, "It's running in almost every daily in the state."

EIGHT THINGS TO CONSIDER ABOUT PRESIDENT OBAMA BEFORE THE ELECTION

By Eric Hovde
1. President Obama has added $6 trillion of debt. Every adult and child owes over $51,525.

2. This debt is causing the Federal Reserve to print money, which is devaluing our dollar. The price of gas was $1.84 when Obama took office and has since doubled. The cost to feed a family has increased by 31%.

3. Since January 2009, the average household income has decreased $4,019.

4. 8.2 million Americans have given up looking for work, and the real unemployment rate is 14.7%.

5. President Obama has passed at least 106 rules and regulations that cost more than $46 billion annually - another burden on our small businesses and job creators.

6. ObamaCare will burden Americans with at least 12 new tax increases, which will cost each family over $2,500 annually.

7. Fraud has exploded under President Obama. Our healthcare sector alone is estimated to have $750 billion in waste and fraud.

8. Despite all this, President Obama has held only two Cabinet meetings this year - yet has attended over 250 fundraisers.
Our economy cannot handle another 4 years of President Obama.

You have a stark choice: a president who has given us failed economic policies or Mitt Romney, a leader with more experience in economics and the private sector than any presidential candidate in history.

I hope you put aside the political spin, look at the facts, and make the right decision because it will profoundly affect your life.

Paul Ryan - Fiscal Discipline

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are promoting a plan of fiscal discipline to get our country back on track.

What do we get from Obama and Biden?

Smirks and guffaws, in addition to $16 trillion in debt, four straight years of $1 trillion-plus deficits, and at least 41 straight months of unemployment over 8 percent.

Obama's Big Bird Ad Still Running

On Tuesday, Sesame Workshop called for Obama to pull his campaign ad featuring Big Bird.

Statement from Sesame Workshop:

Sesame Workshop is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization and we do not endorse candidates or participate in political campaigns. We have approved no campaign ads, and, as is our general practice, have requested that both campaigns remove Sesame Street characters and trademarks from their campaign materials.
Obama is ignoring that request.

On Wednesday at roughly 11:45 PM on TMJ4, the ad ran.

Was the statement a ruse?

Is Sesame Workshop actually OK with the ad but put out the statement purely as a CYA move, to make it appear like it is a nonpartisan organization when in reality it fully supports the use of Big Bird in the ad?

If there isn't a deal between Obama and Big Bird, and Obama is just dismissing a sincere request, then I guess it's fair to say Obama has declared war on Sesame Street.

It really is a joke for Obama to be running a Sesame Street campaign, given the serious issues facing the country.

It's not presidential at all, and he's the sitting president!

Of course, Obama wants to talk about Big Bird, no matter how small and inconsequential it makes him look. It's better than talking about Benghazi or the economy or ObamaCare or the debt.
