Katy Perry and Obama - Milwaukee

Obama is going to be in Milwaukee on Saturday?

Wow.

I guess he didn't see the Marquette University Law School Poll, that puts him ahead of Mitt Romney by a comfortable 8 points in Wisconsin.

Is it really necessary for Obama to spend time in Milwaukee?

He shouldn't have to be spending any time in these final days of the campaign trying to sway voters in Wisconsin.

Apparently, Obama's appearance isn't enough to excite people and draw a crowd. He needs to bring a musical guest, Katy Perry.

There is no way Obama would be in Milwaukee on Saturday if Democrats were confident Wisconsin will go their way.

Early voting seems to be a problem for Obama in the state.

He still has a chance to get some early votes with his Thursday event in Green Bay, but Saturday will be too late.

Early voting, or as it's called in Wisconsin, In-person Absentee Voting, will be over by Obama's event on Saturday.

In-person absentee voting runs for two weeks before an election, ending at 5 p.m. or the close of business (whichever is later) on the Friday before the election.
Saturday's effort is directed solely to influence Election Day turnout.

The enthusiasm for Obama has evaporated.

I wonder if Milwaukee's failed mayor, Tom Barrett, three-time gubernatorial loser, will attend, throwing his support to Obama. Maybe he'll just tweet something instead.

Obama's rally really should fire up Romney supporters in Wisconsin.

It's a sure sign we can win here.

Bob Menendez Sex Scandal

According to The Daily Caller, Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez from New Jersey did a bad, bad thing.

This is the scandal Drudge was teasing Wednesday night, setting Twitter atwitter with speculation.

Apparently, the Democrat senator paid for sex while in the Dominican Republic.

Two women from the Dominican Republic told The Daily Caller that Democratic New Jersey Sen. Bob Menendez paid them for sex earlier this year.

In interviews, the two women said they met Menendez around Easter at Casa de Campo, an expensive 7,000 acre resort in the Dominican Republic. They claimed Menendez agreed to pay them $500 for sex acts, but in the end they each received only $100.

The women spoke through a translator in the company of their attorney, Melanio Figueroa. Both asked that their identities remain obscured for fear of reprisals in the Dominican Republic.

When shown a photograph of Sen. Menendez, the women said they recognized him as the man with whom they’d had sexual relations at Casa de Campo this spring. Both said they were brought to the resort with the understanding they would be paid for sex.

Neither knew the identity of the man at the time. Both claimed to recognize him later as Sen. Menendez.

“He called him[self] ‘Bob,’” said one.

One woman said Menendez wooed her with compliments like “beautiful” before they slept together. The other woman recounted, with apparent bitterness, receiving from an intermediary only $100 of the $500 she had been promised.

“He lies,” she said of Menendez. “He says one thing and does another.”

According to the translator’s summary, Menendez “was nice at first, but then later he did not seem to care about her.”

Menendez, who is 58 and divorced, has represented New Jersey in the U.S. Senate as a Democrat since being appointed to fill a vacancy in 2005. He is up for re-election on Nov. 6.
The big question: Are these allegations true?

No surprise, "Menendez spokeswoman Tricia Enright refused to answer any questions on the subject. 'We're not going to respond to a completely false accusation,' she wrote by email."

Will these revelations help challenger Republican state Sen. Joe Kyrillos?

I doubt it.

Democrats don't mind this sort of stuff, if the allegations are true.

If Menendez did hire prostitutes, and paid less than promised, I don't think his supporters will mind. They're Democrats.

Obama - Situation Room (Photos)

Here are photos of Obama "looking presidential" in the Situation Room:

President Barack Obama receives an update on the ongoing response to Hurricane Sandy, in the Situation Room of the White House, Oct. 29 2012. Participating via teleconference, clockwise from top left, are: Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano; FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate; Rick Knabb, Director of the National Hurricane Center; Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood; and Secretary of Energy Steven Chu. U.S. President Barack Obama (R) receives an update on the ongoing response to Hurricane Sandy during a meeting with administration officials in the Situation Room of the White House in Washington.

I don't know why Democrats are excited about Obama "looking presidential" in the White House, given the fact that the guy IS the president.

It's not good that Obama has a presidential stature problem. He IS the incumbent. I suppose the confusion comes from Obama campaigning as if he hasn't served as president for nearly one complete term.

A president worthy of reelection should be touting his accomplishments in office, not acting as if he hasn't served in the role. He should gladly take responsibility for what he's done. There's the rub for Obama.

I'm looking for another photo from the Situation Room, the one of Obama monitoring the deadly terrorist attack in Benghazi that took place on the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks on our homeland.

I'm looking for the photo of Obama monitoring the Benghazi attack, the one that went on for hours, where Americans requested assistance to save their lives but were denied.

Where is that photo?

Where is the photo of Obama monitoring the 9/11 attack in Benghazi?

I can't find one. Where is the HANDOUT from the White House of that image?

Does it exist?

Where is the photo of Obama "looking presidential" monitoring the deaths of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, the people Obama likes to call "his folks"?

ABC: Great Pumpkin, Scenes Cut

Once again, ABC butchered a holiday animated special.

Every year, ABC cuts scenes from A Charlie Brown Christmas.

It's sad that this favorite holiday program, which condemns the commercialism that eats away at the true meaning of Christmas, falls victim to it.

It's a yearly tradition - ABC omitting scenes from the beloved special to make way for more commericials.

This is the first year I noticed ABC did the same slashing to It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

Charlie Brown trying to kick the football as Lucy holds it was cut.

Snoopy's scene at the Halloween party as he enjoys and dances to Schroeder's piano playing, later to break down in tears during a song that tugs at his heart, was gone.

No "It's a Long Way to Tipperary" or "Pack Up Your Troubles in Your Old Kit-Bag, and Smile, Smile, Smile." No "There's a Long, Long Trail."

There's a sudden break after Lucy and Snoopy bobbing for apples, "My lips touched dog lips." It cuts right to Snoopy crawling through the pumpkin patch.

Here's what was deleted:

I think ABC should have a message at the beginning of the program, similar to those seen before movies, theatrical releases shown on TV.

"This television special has been edited for television, for commercial purposes."

MU Poll: Obama 51, Romney 43

Here we go again.

The Marquette University Law School poll is unbelievable.

I mean, I don't believe those numbers.

What an embarrassment!

There must be serious sampling problems to arrive at these figures.

I'm declaring the results inaccurate. If Marquette can declare Obama up by 8, I can declare my polling tells me otherwise.

I can pull numbers out of my..., out of the air as well.

There is no way Romney lost 5 points in Wisconsin the last two weeks. No way. NO WAY.

What this poll does is give the Obama campaign and its media hacks numbers to cite to demoralize Romney voters.

I think that's going to backfire.

The Scott Walker voters are not going to crawl in a hole. We voted for fiscal responsibility and conservative policies just a few months ago and trounced the liberal, failed mayor of Milwaukee, Tom Barrett.

The Walker coalition didn't disappear.

Good grief.

It's ridiculous to think that this poll is an accurate picture of reality in Wisconsin.

_________________

Riiiiight.

I'm glad the MU poll has these numbers for the Senate race. It tells me the poll is consistent in its inaccuracy.

I just got a fundraising email declaring Thompson at 48% and Baldwin at 47% from Al Franken on behalf of the DSCC.

Here's another one from the DSCC. This one is from John Kerry, citing the same poll numbers used in email from Franken.

Someone alert the Dems that Marquette has discovered Tammy Baldwin is winning in Wisconsin. Don't bother coughing up your cash, Baldwin supporters.

It's Time to Vote

One week from now, we will know the results of the election.

God help us if there are statewide recounts. But barring that nightmare, it will be settled.

Will we be doomed to another four years of economic misery, lies, and cover-ups?

The thought is nauseating.

Will we be back on track and on the road to a far better America than we are living in today under Obama, imperial president?

We don't have to live like this. We don't have to settle.

Get involved. Determine your destiny. Vote.

Leno: Obama, Libya, 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'

JAY LENO: Well, 'Don't ask, don't tell' is back. Not for gays in the military, it's President Obama's new policy for questions about Libya. 'Don't ask, don't tell.'

Obama: Green Bay on Thursday

Obama will be back on the campaign trail on Thursday.

Due to Hurricane Sandy, after the brief break he took to actually serve in the role of president and acknowledge that he is the incumbent, Obama will soon be back to yapping about "Romnesia" and calling the Republican nominee a "bullshitter."

Who knows? Maybe Obama will have a new campaign strategy and start behaving with a bit more dignity. Very unlikely.

On Thursday, Obama will be in Green Bay for a "tarmac event."

Obama Flip Flops

The Top 10 Obama Flip Flops by Ari Fleischer
  • Voted against increasing the debt limit; then supported raising it.
  • Campaigned against the Bush tax cuts; then extended all of them.
  • Promised to cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term; then proposed trillion dollar deficits.
  • Vowed the unemployment rate would be below 8% if his stimulus was passed; but then it broke 10%.
  • Promised shovel ready jobs; then admitted they weren’t shovel ready.
  • Said if you like your health plan you can keep it; but then threw seniors off Medicare Plus and employers are now saying they’ll dump people onto the public exchange.
  • Promised to have health care negotiations on live TV, but then reversed himself.
  • Indicated Bush violated the Constitution; then carried out warrantless wiretaps, indefinite detentions, secret renditions, quadrupled drone attacks, and kept Guantanamo Bay open. Voted against the Patriot Act, but then supported its extension.
  • Said lobbyists wouldn’t work in the White House; then gave them waivers to work there.
  • Vowed to take public financing for his 2008 campaign; then refused public financing when he realized he would receive more money without it.

Fleischer distributed this list of Obama's flip flops in 2011.

There are so many more.

George H.W. Bush and Tommy Thompson

President George H.W. Bush is encouraging Wisconsinites to vote for Tommy Thompson.
Dear Mary,

At this point in my life, I really try to avoid politics, especially around election time.

But some people are truly exceptional -- Tommy Thompson is one of them -- and I feel the need to do what I can to help.

Tommy Thompson has been my friend for almost thirty years. His was a spectacularly successful Governor of Wisconsin for fourteen years, and a great partner in many of my reform efforts as President. He was so popular and effective that my son, President George W. Bush, tapped Tommy to serve the Nation as the Secretary of Health and Human Services . . . and thankfully, Tommy answered his country's call.

Why was Tommy always so popular? Because he has always made things happen, and got things done. Tommy Thompson pioneered welfare form . . . created jobs . . . restrained spending . . . cut taxes . . . and instituted the first school choice programs.

He was tough and innovative, but thoughtful . . . and he was always a forceful leader. He talked to and worked with everyone . . . and he still does.

Tommy used to say, "I am from Elroy, Wisconsin -- I can dial a wrong number and talk for hours!” That small town, "can do" Wisconsin approach and charm is what has made Tommy Thompson one of America's most dynamic and successful leaders. And it’s that same "can do" approach that’s needed today in Washington to get our nation going again.

I hope you’ll join me in the effort to elect Tommy Thompson as the next United States Senator from Wisconsin.

Tommy prevailed in a difficult primary in August that exhausted his campaign's finances. He is engaged in a tough and close campaign where his opponent is heavily outspending him and unfairly attacking him.

I have had no better friend than Tommy Thompson in my many years in public life. And Wisconsin -- as well as America -- has never had a better, more reliable or honorable public servant. Tommy needs our help.

America needs great leaders more than ever, and Tommy Thompson has long been one of our very best. We all need to rally around our friend and support him in his effort to help tackle our country’s complex problems as a U.S. Senator from Wisconsin.

We need a Senator Tommy Thompson, and he needs your help to make that a reality.

Please join me in supporting Tommy's campaign. There are only a few days left and your financial support will have a direct and immediate impact in putting him over the top.

If you feel, as I do, that we need bold, principled leadership in the U.S. Senate, I urge you to send a contribution to Tommy today.

Sincerely,

George H.W. Bush
It would be such a mistake to allow a fringe Leftist like Tammy Baldwin to serve in the U.S. Senate.

Her record reveals that she's too extreme. She couldn't possibly represent us well.

Tommy Thompson shares our values. He's good for us and the country.

COAL: Romney v. Obama

Pennsylvania has been and will continue to be crushed by Obama's policies. Obama's reelection would be a disaster.

Mitt Romney offers the hope and change Americans really want, not Obama's warped vision.

This ad spells it out:

Four years ago, Barack Obama said building a coal-powered plant will bankrupt you. Now, 22 Pennsylvania coal facilities will close or convert. Mitt Romney will support coal and get North America energy independent.

Stephen and Nancy Einhorn - Voter Fraud Billboards

Dan Bice, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, seems to enjoy causing conservatives grief, with no concern for their families.

That's the case with Stephen and Nancy Einhorn. The couple who paid for the voter fraud billboards in Wisconsin had a contract with Clear Channel Outdoor, permitting them to remain anonymous.

The Leftists had a hissy fit over the innocuous billboards. They claimed they were racist, placed in minority neighborhoods, meant to cause fear and suppress the vote.

How does a factual message about the law, "voter fraud is a felony," suppress the vote?

It doesn't. There was nothing sinister about the billboards.

The Left's witch hunt resulted in exposing the Einhorns.

Bice and the Journal Sentinel determined the revelation newsworthy. So, Bice writes about the Einhorns and provides information about their family, more than just the family name.

What's the purpose, other than to give the Leftists another target for harassment?

From Bice's exposé:

Scot Ross, executive director of One Wisconsin Now, issued a statement Monday raising several questions for the Einhorns.

"Perhaps their Chicago public relations firm could answer why the Einhorns only felt it was necessary to target legal voters in minority communities, and why they didn’t feel the need to do this 'public service' throughout communities across Wisconsin where a majority of the residents are white," Ross asked in his email. "Or put their name on it, rather than hiding behind the cowardly veil of anonymity."
This is crap.

The Einhorns did not only feel it was "necessary to target legal voters in minority communities." That's completely distorting the message.

I was aware of a billboard in a Wisconsin community where the overwhelming majority of residents are white.

The billboard was on Port Washington Road in Ozaukee County, just north of Highway C.

It was NOT even close to being in a Milwaukee inner city minority neighborhood. This billboard was not in an African-American or Hispanic area.

This campaign against the billboards and the Einhorns is dishonest, but that doesn't stop Bice from picking up the Left's deceptive narrative. It doesn't stop him from propping it up, revealing that the Einhorns made donations to Republican politicians, including Scott Walker. (GASP!)

Clear Channel Outdoor buckled under pressure from the very unreasonable Left. I guess Clear Channel Outdoor was afraid to take on the race card.

I commend the Einhorns for caring about the integrity of our elections. They deserve our support and gratitude.

Voter fraud should concern everyone, regardless of one's skin color or political affiliation.

Clean, fair elections should be a goal for all. Voter fraud disenfranchises every legal voter. It's a crime.

The Einhorns should not have been treated this way. What crime did they commit? Exercising free speech and simply stating the LAW, sending a message meant to uphold our electoral process.

The fact that they were bullied into taking down the billboards by the hysterical Left is a disgrace. The fact that Clear Channel Outdoor betrayed them is inexcusable.

The Future Children Project (Video, Lyrics)

Another Obama election, another really creepy video using kids.

Why do Leftists do this?

It's a weird tactic to exploit children.

This one is from the Future Children Project.

Re-electing President Obama is a momentous decision that will require every single voter.

What would the children of the future say if we let them down this November?

The Future Children's Project is an independent group not affiliated with any company or official political campaign.

Lyrics:
Imagine an America
Where strip mines are fun and free
Where gays can be fixed
And sick people just die
And oil fills the sea

We don't have to pay for freeways!
Our schools are good enough
Give us endless wars
On foreign shores
And lots of Chinese stuff

We're the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And we're kinda blaming you

We haven't killed all the polar bears
But it's not for lack of trying
Big Bird is sacked
The Earth is cracked
And the atmosphere is frying

Congress went home early
They did their best we know
You can't cut spending
With elections pending
Unless it's welfare dough

We're the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And we're kinda blaming you

Find a park that is still open
And take a breath of poison air
They foreclosed your place
To build a weapon in space
But you can write off your au pair

It's a little awkward to tell you
But you left us holding the bag
When we look around
The place is all dumbed down
And the long term's kind of a drag

We're the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And yeah, we're blaming you

You did your best
You failed the test

Mom and Dad
We're blaming you!

Dennis Miller: Hurricane Sandy and Cannibalism

Flashback, Hurricane Katrina: Randall Robinson states, "It is reported that black hurricane victims in New Orleans have begun eating corpses to survive."

Ron Johnson and Tommy Thompson

Senator Ron Johnson encourages Wisconsinites to make the right choice and elect Tommy Thompson to be our next senator.
America is in trouble. As a nation, we are facing a $16 trillion debt while more than 23 million Americans are struggling with the reality of being unemployed or underemployed. The failed tax-and-spend policies of liberals like Tammy Baldwin have pushed our country to the fiscal brink.

With Election Day right around the corner, you have an opportunity to send a tried and true leader to Washington, D.C. I know Tommy Thompson, and I know that he will fight to reverse the failed economic policies of President Obama and Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin. I am confident that he is committed to implementing pro-growth policies that will create jobs and pay down our nation’s mountain of debt.

Can you send a contribution of $100, $50, $25 or whatever you can afford to help Tommy in these final days ensuring a strong finish to put him over the top?

Trust me; too much is at stake to not send Tommy Thompson to the United States Senate. His opponent, Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin, has led our nation down a path of debt, doubt and decline.

During Baldwin’s 14 years in Congress, she has buried our children and grandchildren under a mountain of debt by voting to raise the debt ceiling seven times. Under her watch, $10 trillion has been added to our nation’s debt and 6.6 million Americans have lost their jobs. Through her failed economic agenda, Baldwin has unequivocally proven that she is too extreme for Wisconsin and too dangerous for our nation’s economy.

With 7 days to go until Election Day, I urge you to spread Tommy Thompson’s message of fiscal responsibility and economic growth to everyone you know. Please tell your friends, family and neighbors to get to the polls and vote for Tommy Thompson on November 6.

Every dollar helps get Tommy's message out and every minute you volunteer helps get our voters to the polls.

We cannot afford Madison liberal Tammy Baldwin in the United States Senate.

Sincerely,

Ron Johnson
United States Senator
The country cannot afford to have an extremist like Tammy Baldwin in the U.S. Senate.

We here in Wisconsin can't do that to our fellow Americans.

Vote Tommy Thompson.

WSJ Endorses Tommy Thompson

The Wisconsin State Journal, Madison's newspaper, endorsed Tommy Thompson.
Tommy Thompson has a long record of getting things done, often through compromise.

His likeable but very liberal opponent, Tammy Baldwin, does not.

That's the key difference in the race for Wisconsin's open U.S. Senate seat. The State Journal editorial board endorses Thompson in the Nov. 6 election.

Thompson served as a moderate and innovative governor of Wisconsin for 14 years. That was more than a decade ago, U.S. Rep. Baldwin, D-Madison, often reminds voters. Yet Thompson still shows promise as a leader who will demand action in Washington, rather than sticking to partisan games.

Thompson served as secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, prioritizing research and prevention. He hopes to team with other former governors elected to the U.S. Senate to pressure party leaders for a big fix to America's fiscal mess.

No, he's not offering lots of details. But neither is his opponent. If fact, both say they would vote against Bowles-Simpson — the most credible and comprehensive plan to stabilize the nation's debt — if it came to a vote. That's disappointing.

Yet Thompson sees Bowles-Simpson as a "very good" start toward a deal. And unlike most Republicans, he's willing to accept cuts to the giant defense budget.

Thompson hasn't run a great campaign. He's stumbled on some of his words and could use more humility. Baldwin is the sharper, more polished candidate.

Yet Baldwin can't escape her long voting record, which Politifact.com and other nonpartisan media outlets have confirmed is one of the most liberal in Congress. It may play well in Madison to oppose her own president's fair and job-creating trade deals, to vote against sanctions on Iran, to refuse to budge on domestic spending. But that's a tougher sell statewide.

Baldwin can point to only a few relatively minor bills on which she has teamed with Republicans.

Baldwin prides herself as a principled progressive. We respect that. But clinging to ideology isn't working in Congress — not for the progressives on the far left nor for the tea party on the far right. Washington is stuck and moving further apart just as it needs to find agreement in the middle.

Thompson seems to better understand this, having narrowly survived a hard-fought GOP primary in which he was blasted for not being conservative enough.

Thompson isn't our ideal candidate. We agree with Baldwin on many social issues.

But this election is about the need for jobs, cooperation and fiscal sanity. Thompson wins on those priorities.
Even the liberals in Madison think Tammy Baldwin is not the right choice to represent Wisconsin in the U.S. Senate. They pick Tommy Thompson, too.

Benghazi: Media Blackout

Obama's media mouthpieces are on the same page, ignoring Benghazi.

From Joel B. Pollak, Breitbart's Big Journalism:
The mainstream media's silence on the Benghazi disaster reached deafening levels on Sunday, as hosts of four out of the five major news shows--with the exception of Fox News Sunday--failed to raise the issue. Only Bob Schieffer of CBS gave it serious consideration, and only after it was raised by Sen. John McCain.

When the Benghazi issue did surface, other than on Fox, it was invariably brought up by Republican guests, and then deflected by the hosts, who largely ignored new stories this week that implicated the White House in the decision not to intervene to save the life of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and other American staff.
It is clear that Obama's media allies are doing his bidding, shirking professionalism and journalistic responsibility in the process.

Protecting Obama is more important to them than doing their jobs as members of the press.

They aren't journalists. They're serving as political operatives for Obama.

Obama - Green Bay on Tuesday

UPDATE: President Obama cancels Green Bay campaign event; Romney nixes West Allis stop
President Obama’s campaign canceled his event in Green Bay on Tuesday so he can stay in Washington, D.C., to monitor the impact of and response to Hurricane Sandy. The storm strengthened early today, putting it on a collision course with two other weather systems that would create a superstorm.

Republican challenger Mitt Romney canceled his appearance set for tonight in West Allis.

...The president was supposed to campaign Tuesday at the Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena, 1901 South Oneida St.
Bill Clinton will come to Wisconsin instead of Obama.
Former President Bill Clinton will be campaigning in Wisconsin this week after President Barack Obama canceled his planned campaign stop Tuesday in Green Bay due to Hurricane Sandy.

Obama's campaign says Clinton will come to Wisconsin as part of a swing this week that will also take him to Minnesota, Iowa, Colorado, Ohio, Virginia and New Hampshire.

No details about when he will come to Wisconsin or where in the state he will be were released.

________________

Obama will be in Green Bay on Tuesday.

In Wisconsin one week before the election?

Things have changed since 2008, when Obama carried the state by 14 POINTS!

And to welcome Obama to the city, the Green Bay Press-Gazette has a message for Obama:

"We recommend Romney for president."

Four years ago, when Barack Obama was elected president, he campaigned on a message of hope and change.

Many hoped he could bring change for a nation weary of two wars, a nation beset by a mortgage crisis and Wall Street scandal, and, most importantly, a nation whose economic future was so uncertain that massive government bailouts were needed.

However, four years later, the economy hasn’t rebounded. In fact, some say it’s worse, with high unemployment numbers, a trillion-dollar deficit, an even bigger national debt and uncertainty in the business world over the future of our economy. Poverty has increased, the median household income has dropped, and some have given up looking for work.

This nation cannot wait four more years to see if Obama’s policies will work. It needs to turn to someone who has a proven track record in the business community and will offer the steady hand to a teetering economy.

For that reason, the Green Bay Press-Gazette is endorsing Republican candidate Mitt Romney, who we believe is the best choice to turn around the U.S. economy. We believe the Republican candidate’s experience as CEO of Bain Capital, governor of Massachusetts and work with the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City will be assets to turning around the economy.

Romney: Milwaukee Rally CANCELLED

UPDATE, October 30, 2012: RALLY RESCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, SAME LOCATION.
__________________

UPDATE: EVENT CANCELLED DUE TO STORM

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

The Romney campaign issued this statement from communications director Gail Gitcho:

"Out of sensitivity for the millions of Americans in the path of Hurricane Sandy, we are canceling tonight's events with Governor Romney in Wisconsin and Congressman Ryan in Melbourne and Lakeland, Florida. We are also canceling all events currently scheduled for both Governor Romney and Congressman Ryan on Tuesday. Governor Romney believes this is a time for the nation and its leaders to come together to focus on those Americans who are in harms way. We will provide additional details regarding Governor Romney's and Congressman Ryan's schedule when they are available."
________________

When the details for the Mitt Romney rally were announced, I didn't think the Ag Products Pavilion at State Fair Park was a good venue.

I thought it would be way too small.

I was glad to hear the event has been moved to the Expo Center.

Romney and Ryan can win Wisconsin.

All those Scott Walker supporters, fired up by the Democrats/union thugs and their failed recall, are ready to oust Obama.

· Des Moines Register: “Mitt Romney Offers A Fresh Economic Vision” “Voters should give Mitt Romney a chance to correct the nation’s fiscal course and to implode the partisan gridlock that has shackled Washington and the rest of America — with the understanding that he would face the same assessment in four years if he does not succeed.” (Editorial, “Mitt Romney Offers A Fresh Economic Vision,” Des Moines Register, 10/27/12)
· The Daily Herald (Illinois): “[W]e Endorse Romney Because He, Unlike Obama, Understands That Jobs Are A Creation Of Business, Not Of Government.” “But ultimately, we endorse Romney because he, unlike Obama, understands that jobs are a creation of business, not of government. And that to encourage job growth, we need policies that incent business to grow and provide it with a stable environment for that growth.” (Editorial, “Endorsement: The Case For Mitt Romney For President,” The Daily Herald, 10/28/12)
· Florida Today: “Romney Has A Clearer Vision For A Modern Economy…” “Over the next four years, Washington must foster a more competitive economy and balance federal budgets. Florida voters rate jobs and business growth as their No. 1 concern by far. For those reasons, we endorse former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for president. Romney has a clearer vision for a modern economy. He has a better understanding than President Barack Obama of what could help manufacturers and service companies grow and hire. And he has executive experience and a record of problem solving that Obama did not have before taking office.” (Editorial, “We Recommend Mitt Romney For President,” Florida Today, 10/28/12)
· Pensacola News Journal: “We Believe [Mitt Romney] Has The Experience And Temperament To Start The Repairs.” “As he did in 2008, Mitt Romney is campaigning that ‘Washington is broken’: that Congress and the president can neither legislate nor lead effectively. We believe he has the experience and temperament to start the repairs. If elected, we urge him to gather key Democrats on Nov. 7 and start to find solutions to our problems.” (Editorial, “We Recommend: Mitt Romney For President,” Pensacola News Journal, 10/28/12)
· Naples Daily News: “[W]e Believe It Will Take Another Administration Change, To Romney, To Bring The Leadership That Will Make That Recovery Timely, Robust And Sustainable.” “This time four years ago, this newspaper's editorial board sized up the state of the economy and other issues and concluded the country needed a change, to Obama. While we believe the national economy is on the way back, we believe it will take another administration change, to Romney, to bring the leadership that will make that recovery timely, robust and sustainable.” (Editorial, “President Of The United States,” Naples Daily News, 10/28/12)
· Quad City Times: “[W]e Endorse A Successful Leader Focused On Economic Recovery And Growth And Deficit Reduction.” “Today, we endorse a successful leader focused on economic recovery and growth and deficit reduction. We endorse a proven manager who won’t need on-the-job training. We endorse a compromiser who offers the best hope of breaking congressional gridlock. Most of all, we endorse change. We endorse Mitt Romney for president.” (Editorial, “Ready For Change,” Quad City Times, 10/28/12)

· Los Angeles Daily News: “Romney Has Proven His Leadership Qualities…” “Four years ago, as America faced serious trouble at home and abroad, this news organization embraced the need for bold change to a different brand of leadership and endorsed Barack Obama for president. … Romney has proven his leadership qualities as a business success, as the trouble-shooting head of the Salt Lake City Olympics, and as the governor of Democratic Party-dominated Massachusetts.” (Editorial, “Elect Mitt Romney President,” Los Angeles Daily News, 10/28/12)
· Fort Worth Star-Telegram: “Romney Has Laid Out A Consistent Theme … That Theme Is A Winner.” “Romney has laid out a consistent theme focused on encouraging business innovation and growth, reducing government spending and its economic footprint and educating and retraining people to take new jobs. That theme is a winner, and Congress will be receptive when Romney brings it.”(Editorial, “Mitt Romney: New Leadership For More Economic Growth,” Fort Worth Star-Telegram, 10/21/12)
· Reno Gazette-Journal: “We Find Ourselves In Need Of Change Yet Again. Romney Must Be The Leader To Get Things Moving.” “Based on our current fiscal condition, a still-weak economy and a Congress deeply divided along party lines, our next president will continue to face a daunting challenge, one that must be met for the good of the country. Four years later, we find ourselves in need of change yet again. Romney must be the leader to get things moving.” (Editorial, “Nevada Needs A Change Now; Elect Mitt Romney President,”Reno Gazette-Journal, 10/20/12)
· Orlando Sentinel: “He Understands That Reviving The Economy And Repairing The Government’s Balance Sheet Are Imperative.” “[T]he core of Romney's campaign platform, his five-point plan, at least shows he understands that reviving the economy and repairing the government's balance sheet are imperative — now, not four years in the future. … We endorse Mitt Romney for president. (Editorial, Our Pick For President: Romney,” Orlando Sentinel, 10/19/12)
· New York Observer: “A Strong Leader … [He] Promises To Bring A New And Refreshing Attitude To Washington.” “Mitt Romney stands out because—unlike so many candidates in the past—he understands how to build businesses, create efficiencies, make tough deals and carefully consider divergent viewpoints. America needs a strong leader, a practical leader. … [He] promises to bring a new and refreshing attitude to Washington, one that speaks to his experience as both a successful business leader and the governor of a state not known for its affection for Republicans.” (Editorial, “Romney For President,” New York Observer, 10/16/12)
· South Florida Sun-Sentinel: “We Need A Leader Who Will Chart A Clear Course, Sweat The Details And Get The Job Done Right.” “In these uncertain times, we need a leader who will chart a clear course, sweat the details and get the job done right. We believe Romney’s past performance is a predictor of his future behavior. He’s proven himself to be a successful businessman. He rescued the 2002 Winter Olympics from scandal and mismanagement. He worked with a Democrat-dominated legislature as governor of Massachusetts to close a $3 billion budget deficit — without borrowing and raising taxes.” (Editorial, “Sun Sentinel Endorses Mitt Romney For President,” Sun Sentinel, 10/26/12)

Center for Reproductive Rights and Celebrities: Pro-Abortion Video

Celebrity Leftists, Obama supporters, are obsessed with abortion.

Of course, Obama doesn't want the election to be about his record as president. The economy is mess. There is rampant poverty, unemployment, underemployment, and the overall accompanying misery.

Obama's record on the world stage is just as bad. He's up to his neck in a cover-up involving the 9/11/12 terrorist attack on our consulate in Benghazi.

Because Obama can't tout the tremendous progress he's made these past four years, because he has screwed up the country so royally, he calls on his Leftist allies to help him hype his War on Women. They, of course, are happy to oblige.

From NewsBusters:

Tina Fey isn't the only actor helping the Center for Reproductive Rights raise money and "consciousness" about how women need quick (and occasionally subsidized) abortions. For their "Draw the Line" campaign against the pro-life movement in America and around the world, a whole roster of stars (and semi-stars) filmed a pro-abortion video.

That left-wing cast included Meryl Streep, Amy Poehler, Sarah Silverman, Sandra Bernhard, Kevin Bacon and his wife Kyra Sedgwick, Lisa Kudrow, Tea Leoni, Audra McDonald, Martha Plimpton, Oliver Platt, Ally Sheedy, and Billy Crudup.

...The Center for Reproductive Rights blurs countries and causes, so where one woman in Kenya can't take her baby home because she's in debt for the delivery, this is compared to America being hostile to very late-term abortions in the former George Tiller clinic in Kansas. The celebrities really get going in this late manifesto portion:

I am pro-woman.

I am pro-family.

I am pro-choice.

I am pro-freedom.

I am pro-keeping the politicians the hell out of my business.

I am pro-dignity.

I am pro-equality.

I am pro-rights.

Women’s rights.

Reproductive rights.

Human rights.

The Center's staffers were quite clear they wanted to "keep religion out of the debate about reproductive rights" and "keep politicians out of our doctor’s offices and out of our private lives." But they also expect the taxpayer to pay for the abortions and the contraceptives and the sterilizations -- and butt out while they foot the bill.
Here's video:

It appears these abortion crusaders, bent on convincing women in America to vote for Obama, think quite highly of themselves. They are using their celebrity (or celebrity-ish) status to promote the "right" to kill one's baby before birth.

They are oh so committed to the cause. What brave women, standing up for requiring taxpayers to fund something they may find morally reprehensible!

The notion that they are "pro-choice" is a joke.

They're "pro-choice" only if the definition of "choice" includes killing human life.

All these pro-abortion fanatics are likely also pro-ObamaCare.

If they want to keep "the politicians the hell out of [their] business," why would they want ALL health care to be the government's business?

That's not "pro-freedom."

Government-run health care is the antithesis of "pro-woman" and "pro-family" and "pro-dignity."

Note to these self-righteous celebrities: There's nothing noble or compassionate about supporting the slaughter of the weak, the vulnerable, and the unborn.

Read this: "FLASHBACK: Obama broke with colleagues, voted present on protecting rape victims in '99 state Senate vote."
In a 1999 legislative vote, then-Illinois State Senator Barack Obama was the sole state senator to not vote for for a bill that would protect sexual assault victims from having the details of their cases revealed publicly.

On May 11 of that year, Obama voted “present” on a bill, ultimately made law, that allows victims of sex crimes to request that their cases be sealed from public view following a criminal conviction. Illinois Senate voting records show that Obama was the only senator who did not vote in favor of the bill.

Obama’s unique objection to voting for a bill meant to protect victims of sex crimes is a substantial departure from the picture he has attempted to paint for women voters.

Biden: $500 Trillion Tax Cut (Video)

Joe Biden did it again.

It happened in Oshkosh on Friday, his fifth visit to Wisconsin this election cycle.

Biden lost control and sounded like an idiot, spewing "stuff" or "malarkey" or whatever you want to call what comes out of Biden's mouth.

From WLUK:

"You can't erase what you've already done, they voted to extend tax cuts to the very wealthy, giving a 500 trillion tax cut to 120,000 families," Biden said.

That would amount to much more than the national debt which currently stands at $16 trillion.
Here's video:

Do you believe this guy?

It's hilarious, but it's not.

Joe "500 trillion tax cut to 120,000 families" Biden is the vice president of the United States.

Scary. He's out of touch... WITH REALITY.

Reason to Vote for Mitt Romney

I think Dennis Miller is correct.

Look around you. It's obvious.

Tammy Baldwin - Tommy Thompson, Debate 3

Oh, my God.

Tammy Baldwin loves to say "sweetheart deal." She won't shut up about the "sweetheart deal."

Good grief.

It's like a sickness. It is deceptive. It is misleading.

It's simple to sum up this race:

Baldwin is a big government liberal. Look at her record. She's the most liberal representative in Congress or near the top of the list. The Leftists' big government policies, with all their entitlements, are unsustainable.

If you're a liberal, vote for Baldwin.

Thompson is a conservative. Look at his record.

If you support conservative principles, smaller government, vote for Thompson.

Obama: Green Bay, October 30

________________

Obama is in trouble in Wisconsin.

He'll be in Green Bay on Tuesday, just one week before the election.

Obama won Wisconsin by 14 points in 2008.

Amazing what can happen in four years.

We have the change. Now, we need the hope.

Vote Mitt Romney.

Kyle Clark: Obama and Benghazi (Video)

Thank you, Kyle Clark, of KUSA-TV Denver, for doing what the national media are failing to do - hold Obama accountable to tell the American people the truth.

Of course, Obama refused to be straight with the reporter when asked about the 9/11/12 terrorist attack in Benghazi, choosing to dodge and weave instead.

It's an embarrassment that Clark had to ask Obama TWICE about the Americans under attack in Benghazi being denied requests for help.

TWICE, Obama dodged.

Here's video:

Obama looks awful. He looks exhausted. He looks wasted.

Here's the transcript:

KYLE CLARK: Were the Americans under attack at the consulate in Benghazi Libya denied requests for help during that attack? And is it fair to tell Americans that what happened is under investigation and we'll all find out after the election?

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Well, the election has nothing to do with four brave Americans getting killed and us wanting to find out exactly what happened. These are folks who served under me who I had sent to some very dangerous places. Nobody wants to find out more what happened than I do. But we want to make sure we get it right, particularly because I have made a commitment to the families impacted as well as to the American people, we're going to bring those folks to justice. So, we're going to gather all the facts, find out exactly what happened, and make sure that it doesn't happen again but we're also going to make sure that we bring to justice those who carried out these attacks.

KYLE CLARK: Were they denied requests for help during the attack?

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Well, we are finding out exactly what happened. I can tell you, as I've said over the last couple of months since this happened, the minute I found out what was happening, I gave three very clear directives. Number one, make sure that we are securing our personnel and doing whatever we need to. Number two, we're going to investigate exactly what happened so that it doesn't happen again. Number three, find out who did this so we can bring them to justice. And I guarantee you that everyone in the state department, our military, the CIA, you name it, had number one priority making sure that people were safe. These were our folks and we're going to find out exactly what happened, but what we're also going to do it make sure that we are identifying those who carried out these terrible attacks.

Clark exposes Obama for exactly what he is - a disgrace.

We've had four years of Obama. He has a record. We've seen the sort of leader he us.

Like with Jimmy Carter, Obama clearly needs to be replaced.

Colin Powell Endorses Obama (Video)

No surprise, Colin Powell, alleged Republican or one-time Republican or whatever, has declared he's voting for Obama once again.

If the Obama campaign thinks this will be a significant boost, that's a major miscalculation.

Powell is voting for Obama. WHO CARES?

If it made a difference in 2008, it certainly won't make a difference in 2012.

Frankly, I would have been surprised if he announced his endorsement of Mitt Romney.

Powell showed in 2008 that he has no strong conservative principles. Tell me something I don't know.

Here's video of Powell talking to Charlie Rose on CBS This Morning, Thursday:

Good grief. Not too bright.

From The Right Scoop, listen to Mark Levin rip Powell for his endorsement of the extremely liberal Obama, the imperial president, the terrible, ineffective president.

Levin shreds Powell, and Obama.

Anyone impressed and swayed by Powell's endorsement must listen to Levin's assessment.

If you have an ounce of reason, you'll vote for Mitt Romney.

Hope and change 2012. Romney and Ryan 2012.

Reince Priebus, Obama, Romney, and the Auto Industry

Obama is really getting desperate.

He shrinks a little bit with each stupid thing he says, and he's been saying A LOT of stupid things.

Reince Priebus comments:

Ted Turner, Military Suicides (Video)

Ted Turner is a miserable human being.

Speaking to CNN's Piers Morgan, Turner commented about the increase in the number of military suicides compared to combat deaths.

Turner sees the suicides as a good thing. He finds it a hopeful sign that the troops are killing themselves.

Transcript:

TED TURNER: I think the global policeman should be the United Nations. And I don't think we should need one. I think we should use courts the way we do in civilian life. It's time to put war and conflict behind us and move on, and start acting like civilized, educated human beings.

PIERS MORGAN: You made the point to me in the break there, more American servicemen have --

TURNER: -- are dying now from suicide over there than are dying in combat.

MORGAN: That's shocking, isn't it?

TURNER: Well, what -- no, I think it's -- I think it's good, because it's so clear that we're programmed and we're born to love and help each other, not to kill each other, to destroy each other. That's an aberration. That's left over from hundreds of years ago. It's time for to us start acting enlightened.
This is absolutely sick.

Turner is mocking the tragedy of military deaths by suicide. He's actually stating that troops killing themselves is a positive advancement.

Turner shows no compassion whatsoever for the families forced to cope with the loss of their loved ones. He shows no gratitude to the members of our military serving to protect his sorry, billionaire ass.

Turner makes me sick.

And where is the outcry from his fellow Leftists, the ones claiming to support the troops?

Nothing but crickets, as usual.

Claire McCaskill - Crony Capitalism

From the National Legal and Policy Center:
EXCLUSIVE: Sen. McCaskill's Husband's Businesses Benefitted From $20 Million in Stimulus Funds

An analysis of public records by the National Legal and Policy Center (NLPC) has found more than $20 million in federal stimulus funds benefitting real estate projects financially tied to Joseph Shepard, husband of Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill.

Earlier this month, the Associated Press published an analysis, stating, "businesses affiliated with the husband of Senator Claire McCaskill have received almost $40 million in federal subsidies for low-income housing developments during her first five years in office..."

The NLPC analysis released today showed more than $20 million in financial benefits from the federal stimulus law to real estate projects associated with McCaskill's husband, with all of the $20 million benefitting projects different than those identified by the Associated Press story.
Remember back in 2008 when Obama said he was going to change Washington, for the better?

Didn't happen.

Lena Dunham: First Time

This ad, by Lisa Dunham, is from Obama's campaign.

Published on Oct 25, 2012 by BarackObamadotcom

Your first time? Get started here: http://OFA.BO/A6Eeak

Lena Dunham talks about her first time voting and why she's voting for President Obama.
That's disgusting.

In other words, it's perfect for Obama and his gutter politics.

From Ben Shapiro, Breitbart's Big Government:

This afternoon, the Obama campaign released its latest ad from a celebrity. This one was from Lena Dunham, 26-year-old creator of HBO’s raunchy series Girls. It’s an astoundingly tasteless ad comparing voting for the first time to losing your virginity.
Transcript:
Your first time shouldn’t be with just anybody. You want to do it with a great guy. It should be with a guy with beautiful … somebody who really cares about and understands women.

A guy who cares about whether you get health insurance, and specifically whether you get birth control. The consequences are huge. You want to do it with a guy who brought the troops out of Iraq. You don’t want a guy who says, “Oh hey, I’m at the library studying,” when he’s really out not signing the Lilly Ledbetter Act.

Or who thinks that gay people should never have beautiful, complicated weddings of the kind we see on Bravo or TLC all the time. It’s a fun game to say, “Who are you voting for?” and they say “I don’t want to tell you,” and you say, “No, who are you voting for,” and they go, “Guess!”

Think about how you want to spend those four years. In college age time, that’s 150 years. Also, it’s super uncool to be out and about and someone says, “Did you vote,” and “No, I didn’t vote, I wasn’t ready.”

My first time voting was amazing. It was this line in the sand. Before I was a girl. Now I was a woman. I went to the polling station and pulled back the curtain. I voted for Barack Obama.
This is sick.

It's demeaning to women. But mostly, it's just stupid. It's embarrassing. It might appeal to morons.

Why would the Obama campaign associate itself with this?

Again, where is the gravitas?

This is about the sitting president of the United States!

I'd like to know why Dunham, 26, didn't vote for president until 2008.

I guess she was saving herself for the right guy.
