Panetta Testimony: Obama AWOL on Benghazi

Obama is a liar.

It DOES make a difference. It DOES matter that Obama and his people LIED about the killings of four Americans. It DOES matter that they did NOT act to save the ambassador and three other Americans at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi when it came under attack.

Before the November 2012 election, Kyle Clark, of KUSA-TV Denver, asked Obama pointblank about the Obama administration's reaction to the 9/11/12 terrorist attack in Benghazi.

Number one, make sure that we are securing our personnel and doing whatever we need to. Number two, we're going to investigate exactly what happened so that it doesn't happen again. Number three, find out who did this so we can bring them to justice. And I guarantee you that everyone in the state department, our military, the CIA, you name it, had number one priority making sure that people were safe. These were our folks and we're going to find out exactly what happened, but what we're also going to do it make sure that we are identifying those who carried out these terrible attacks.

Before the election, Clark exposed Obama for exactly what he is - a disgrace.

Defense secretary Leon Panetta revealed in testimony on Thursday that Obama did NOTHING to aid the Americans under attack.

Obama lied to Clark. He dodged instead of being forthcoming. He lied to the American people. Obama lied then and he's lying now.

Hillary Clinton FINALLY testified on the 9/11/12 terrorist attack in Benghazi, killing our ambassador and three other Americans.

In response to a question from Wisconsin Senator Ron Johnson, Hillary flipped out. The theatrics failed to deflect from the reality that she didn't answer his question.

Apparently, Hillary believes WHY four Americans were killed is irrelevant.

HILLARY CLINTON: With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night decided to go kill some Americans? What difference at this point does it make?

Hillary goes on to say, "It is our job to figure out what happened and do everything we can to prevent it from ever happening again, Senator."

In other words, IT DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

Hillary sounds like a fool. She looks like a fool.

Misleading the American people MATTERS, and that's what she and Susan Rice and Jay Carney and the Obama administration and Obama himself did. Lying matters. It matters to me.

We know Hillary gets angry when someone has told her lies. We know she throws lamps when she's mad.

The fact is, with all due respect, she's blind or stupid or deceptive in managing her personal life and in carrying out her duties in public service.

Obviously, Hillary doesn't have the demeanor or the skill or the character to be president of the United States. She's not up to the task of taking that 3:00 AM phone call and responding appropriately.

Crying, yelling, pounding the table, and flailing her arms don't accomplish anything.

I think Republicans have material for their first ad for the 2016 presidential election.

Susan Rice Withdraws

Susan Rice, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, appeared to be Obama's choice to replace Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State, at least for a while.

Obama and his hacks did all they could to paint John McCain and other senators as racist and sexist for opposing her potential nomination.

Obama made a fool of himself when he played the tough guy at his news conference, coming to the aid of the helpless Susan Rice.

This performance didn't convince McCain and company to back down. They were right to stand strong and demand accountability from Rice for her role in the Benghazi cover-up.

So, Susan Rice, the woman Obama wanted, is withdrawing herself from consideration to replace Hillary.

In the Washington Post, Rice writes:

On Thursday I asked that President Obama no longer consider me for the job of secretary of state. I made this decision because it is the right step for this country I love. I have never shied away from a fight for a cause I believe in. But, as it became clear that my potential nomination would spark an enduring partisan battle, I concluded that it would be wrong to allow this debate to continue distracting from urgent national priorities — creating jobs, growing our economy, addressing our deficit, reforming our immigration system and protecting our national security.

These are the issues that deserve our focus, not a controversy about me. On Sept. 16, when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was unavailable after a grueling week, the White House asked me to appear on five Sunday talk shows to discuss a range of foreign policy issues: the protests against our diplomatic facilities around the world; the attack in Benghazi, Libya; and Iran’s nuclear program.

When discussing Benghazi, I relied on fully cleared, unclassified points provided by the intelligence community, which encapsulated their best current assessment. These unclassified points were consistent with the classified assessments I received as a senior policymaker. It would have been irresponsible for me to substitute any personal judgment for our government’s and wrong to reveal classified material. I made clear in each interview that the information I was providing was preliminary and that ongoing investigations would give us definitive answers. I have tremendous appreciation for our intelligence professionals, who work hard to provide their best assessments based on the information available. Long experience shows that our first accounts of terrorist attacks and other tragedies often evolve over time. The intelligence community did its job in good faith. And so did I.

I have never sought in any way, shape or form to mislead the American people. To do so would run counter to my character and my life of public service. But in recent weeks, new lines of attack have been raised to malign my character and my career. Even before I was nominated for any new position, a steady drip of manufactured charges painted a wholly false picture of me. This has interfered increasingly with my work on behalf of the United States at the United Nations and with America’s agenda.

I grew up in Washington, D.C., and I’ve seen plenty of battles over politics and policy. But a national security appointment, much less a potential one, should never be turned into a political football. There are far bigger issues at stake. So I concluded this distraction has to stop.

Translation: Obama, Hillary Clinton, and others in the administration want the Benghazi scandal to go away. Having Rice under oath during confirmation hearings would be a disaster for Obama and Hillary.

Rice's withdrawal should not put the matter to rest.

It would be a disgrace to allow all the unanswered questions about the Benghazi terrorist attack to remain unanswered. Four Americans were killed. We deserve the truth.

Obama and Susan Rice (Video, Transcript)

Unlike in his recent public appearances, Obama didn't cry during his news conference yesterday.

He was having a great time, refusing to give direct answers to questions, if he answered them at all.

He lapped up the congratulations on his reelection from a reporter. Embarrassing.

Obama looked relaxed, like someone who knows he has all the "flexibility" in the world, like someone who intends to do whatever he chooses.

He came off as arrogant and cocky, the imperial president.

In his news conference yesterday afternoon, Obama also acted like a street thug.

He made a fool of himself, defending the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Susan Rice, picking a fight with Senator John McCain and Senator Lindsey Graham.

JONATHAN KARL: Thank you, Mr. President. Senator John McCain and Senator Lindsey Graham both said today that they want to have Watergate-style hearings on the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, and said that if you nominate Susan Rice to be Secretary of State, they will do everything in their power to block her nomination. As Senator Graham said, he simply doesn’t trust Ambassador Rice after what she said about Benghazi. I’d like your reaction to that. And would those threats deter you from making a nomination like that?

OBAMA: Well, first of all, I’m not going to comment at this point on various nominations that I’ll put forward to fill out my Cabinet for the second term. Those are things that are still being discussed.

But let me say specifically about Susan Rice, she has done exemplary work. She has represented the United States and our interests in the United Nations with skill and professionalism and toughness and grace.

As I’ve said before, she made an appearance at the request of the White House in which she gave her best understanding of the intelligence that had been provided to her. If Senator McCain and Senator Graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go after me. And I’m happy to have that discussion with them. But for them to go after the U.N. Ambassador, who had nothing to do with Benghazi, and was simply making a presentation based on intelligence that she had received, and to besmirch her reputation is outrageous.

And we’re after an election now. I think it is important for us to find out exactly what happened in Benghazi, and I’m happy to cooperate in any ways that Congress wants. We have provided every bit of information that we have, and we will continue to provide information. And we’ve got a full-blown investigation, and all that information will be disgorged to Congress.

And I don't think there’s any debate in this country that when you have four Americans killed, that's a problem. And we’ve got to get to the bottom of it, and there needs to be accountability. We’ve got to bring those who carried it out to justice. They won’t get any debate from me on that.

But when they go after the U.N. Ambassador, apparently because they think she’s an easy target, then they’ve got a problem with me. And should I choose, if I think that she would be the best person to serve America in the capacity of the State Department, then I will nominate her. That's not a determination that I’ve made yet.

Good grief.

Obama is playing the War on Women card again. Poor helpless Susan Rice.

Why would Rice be an "easy target"?

I hope the U.S. ambassador to the UN has a backbone. If she doesn't, if she's such an "easy target," she needs to be replaced immediately.

It's particularly disturbing that Obama became so angry, charging McCain and Graham with "going after" the ambassador. It was a rehearsed response, but it still was weird.

Remember how the Leftists went berserk over John Bolton?

Our ambassadors to the UN obviously are not off limits in terms of criticism.

The cocky Obama says he'll select Susan Rice to replace Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State if he feels like it.

He has a mandate to do whatever he wants.

That's delusional. Obama is delusional.

He has no mandate. He didn't win by a landslide. Half the country doesn't want him as our president. Mandate, shmandate.

Obama Administration Emails: Benghazi, Ansar al Sharia

According to internal emails obtained by FOX News, the Obama administration knew the attack in Benghazi was not an uprising about a video.

Nonetheless, Obama, Hillary Clinton, and others in the administration kept pushing that lie, for two weeks.

Evidence continues to mount showing that the administration likely lied to the American people about Benghazi.

Fox has obtained a set of internal emails which declare that the group Ansar al Sharia claimed responsibility of the attack in Benghazi virtually as the raid played out on September 11th.

Ansar al Sharia has been declared by the State Department to be a an al Qaeda affiliated group. The emails were sent by the State Department to across a variety of redacted national security platforms including the White House Situation room, the Pentagon, the FBI, the Director of National Intelligence and the State Department. Fox is told that approximately 300-400 national security figures received these emails in real time almost as the raid was playing out and concluding. Fox is told that figures directly receiving these emails work directly underneath the nation’s top national security, military and diplomatic officials.

The first email indicates that Ambassador Chris Stevens and other personnel were “in the compound safe haven.”

The timestamps on the emails are all eastern time and often include the subheading SBU…which is shorthand for “Sensitive But Unclassified.”

The redacted email address @nss.eop.gov is the White House Situation address. The email address extension @dni.gov is the an extension that goes to figures working under the Director of National Intelligence.

The first email was sent at 4:05 pm et with the subject line “U.S. Diplomatic Mission in Benghazi Under Attack (SBU).”
It goes on to say “The Regional Security Officer reports the diplomatic mission is under attack. Embassy Tripoli reports approximately 20 armed people fired shots; explosions have been heard as well. Ambassador Stevens, who is currently in Benghazi, and four COM personnel are in the compound safe haven. The 17th of February militia is providing security support.

The operations Center will provide updates as available.”

The second email came at 4:54 pm.

The subject line is “Update 1: U.S. Diplomatic Mission in Benghazi (SBU)

“(SBU) Embassy Tripoli reports the firing at the U.S. Diplomatic Mission in Benghazi has stopped and the compound has been cleared. A response team is on site attempting to locate COM personnel.”

The third email came at 6:07 pm and was sent to a different email list, but still includes the White House Situation room address.

This email contains the key subject line that reads “Update 2: Ansar al-Sharia Claims Responsibility for Benghazi Attack (SBU).”

Why did Obama, Hillary Clinton, Jay Carney, Susan Rice, and others in the administration persist in declaring an obscure video to be what precipitated the Benghazi attack and the killings of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans?

They misled us.

They lied about a terrorist attack on our nation that took place on the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

As more information comes out, it is hard to deny that the Obama administration was engaged in an orchestrated cover-up concocted to intentionally misled the American people.

Reuters dropped a bombshell on the White House in the form of newly uncovered emails that prove that as it was happening, the White House knew the attack on our consulate in Benghazi was a terrorist attack. But from what I'm seeing on Twitter and at a number of news sites, the media is much more interested in using a perfectly reasonable pro-life statement made by Indiana U.S. Senate Candidate Richard Mourdock as a weapon against Mitt Romney.

Smoking gun emails that add another log on the fire of proof that the White House lied to us for somewhere around two weeks about the murder of four Americans is nowhere near as big of a deal as the media attempting to play a semantics game with a perfectly defensible pro-life statement from a U.S. Senate candidate. By tomorrow, these emails probably won't be as big of a news story as Romney's guilt-by-association with Mourdock.

This is what the next 13 days are going to look like. And this is why those of us in New Media must be as tireless and vigilant as the corrupt media.

Hillary Takes Responsibility for Benghazi, Stands By Her Man

Before tonight's big debate, it was important for Obama to have someone to blame for the 9/11/12 terrorist attack in Benghazi that left Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans dead.

Hillary Clinton is taking responsibility, sort of. She is, but she isn't.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Monday tried to douse a political firestorm over the deadly assault on a U.S. diplomatic mission in Libya, saying she's responsible for the security of American diplomatic outposts.

"I take responsibility," Clinton said during a visit to Peru. "I'm in charge of the State Department's 60,000-plus people all over the world, 275 posts. The president and the vice president wouldn't be knowledgeable about specific decisions that are made by security professionals. They're the ones who weigh all of the threats and the risks and the needs and make a considered decision."

But she said an investigation now under way will ultimately determine what happened at the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, where Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed on September 11.

"I take this very personally," Clinton said. "So we're going to get to the bottom of it, and then we're going to do everything we can to work to prevent it from happening again, and then we're going to work to bring whoever did this to us to justice."

..."In the wake of an attack like this, in the fog of war, there's always going to be confusion," Clinton said. "And I think it is absolutely fair to say that everyone had the same intelligence. Everyone who spoke tried to give the information that they had. As time has gone on, that information has changed. We've gotten more detail, but that's not surprising. That always happens."

She added, "What I want to avoid is some kind of political gotcha or blame game."

"I know that we're very close to an election," Clinton said. "I want to just take a step back here and say from my own experience, we are at our best as Americans when we pull together. I've done that with Democratic presidents and Republican presidents."

Her remarks drew a quick response from three Republicans on the Senate Armed Services Committee, including ranking member John McCain.

Clinton's statement of responsibility was "a laudable gesture, especially when the White House is trying to avoid any responsibility whatsoever," the Arizona senator said in a joint broadside with Sens. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire. However, they added, "The security of Americans serving our nation everywhere in the world is ultimately the job of the commander-in-chief. The buck stops there."

Hillary is temporarily taking responsibility, qualifying that there's confusion "in the fog of war," blah, blah, blah.

Once again, Hillary is standing by her man. This time, she's providing excuses for Obama.

I suspect she agreed to give Obama some cover now with the promise that eventually she would be cleared, but it still reflects poorly on Hillary.

We have a doormat as secretary of state and a sleazy, ineffective president.

Actually, Hillary is sticking to the same old lines/lies from the White House. Information has changed as they've learned more about the deadly attack. They are still insisting there was no cover-up, hoping we'll be willing to disregard the facts and the timeline.

She's also regurgitating the old "Americans need to pull together" crap, in an attempt to put the topic off limits.

That's incredibly self-serving. Democrats didn't "pull together" for the sake of the country after 9/11. They undermined President Bush at every turn, while engaging in CYA.

Hillary says she wants to avoid a "political gotcha or blame game."

Sure. More specifically, Obama wants to be able to avoid taking responsibility for his failures.

Of course, Hillary declares that there should be no blame game, allowing her to frame holding Obama and his administration accountable as an unpatriotic act.

The fact is the death of Osama bin Laden was not the end of al Qaeda and the terrorist threat. Islamists still hate us and want us dead. Obama's alleged "gutsy call" didn't put an end to the Islamists' war against the U.S. They are still killing Americans.

This "Osama's dead and GM is alive" mantra doesn't cut it. Bin Laden was killed on Obama's watch. That's true enough, but four Americans were also killed on his watch, in a plot timed for the 9/11 anniversary.

The "it was the video" lies, two weeks of lie after lie, can't be erased by Hillary making this statement on the eve of the debate.

Obama is such a coward. Americans are dead and he's trying to dodge responsibility. That is truly disgusting. It speaks to Obama's character, his shamelessness, and his poor leadership.

White House Cover-up - Benghazi

People died, Obama lied.



Once again, I call for Hillary Clinton to resign.

We have an orchestrated cover-up about a terrorist attack on the United States.

The Obama administration's foreign policy failure was colossal.

It disgusts me that Obama, the White House, and the liberal media jumped all over Mitt Romney in the days, weeks, following the attack that left Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans dead.

How they reacted and how they decided to spin the deaths says so much about them.

They lack character and basic human decency.

They dragged Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, filmmaker of the video they claimed caused the protest in Benghazi that never occurred, to jail on a parole violation. They made him the scapegoat, put his life in danger and jeopardized the lives of his family.

No problem. Blame the video.

In reality, the TERRORIST ATTACK was a failure of the Obama administration.

This is a scandal of the highest degree.

Obama and Clinton were engaged in a cover-up about an attack on our country that resulted in the deaths of Americans.

Obama is a failure and a disgrace.

Benghazi: NO VIDEO PROTEST

I think Hillary Clinton should resign.

I think Mitt Romney should be elected to replace Obama.

Obama and Clinton lied about a terrorist attack on the United States. They lied about the deaths of four Americans. They blamed a video.

They lied to the American people for weeks.

The State Department now admits there was no protest about the video that led to the deaths of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans. There was no protest at all!

Prior to the attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi late in the evening on Sept. 11, there was no protest outside the compound, a senior State Department official confirmed today, contradicting initial administration statements suggesting that the attack was an opportunistic reaction to unrest caused by an anti-Islam video.

In a conference call with reporters Tuesday, two senior State Department officials gave a detailed accounting of the events that lead to the death of Amb. Chris Stevens and three other Americans. The officials said that prior to the massive attack on the Benghazi compound by dozens of militants carrying heavy weaponry, there was no unrest outside the walls of the compound and no protest that anyone inside the compound was aware of.

In fact, Stevens hosted a series of meetings on the compound throughout the day, ending with a meeting with a Turkish diplomat that began at 7:30 in the evening, and all was quiet in the area.

For weeks after the 9/11/12 attack, the White House and the liberal media focused on Mitt Romney's statement criticizing the Obama administration's reaction to unrest. They vilified Romney instead of giving the American public the truth, that this was an orchestrated terrorist attack.

The cover-up sickens me. They allowed the life of a filmmaker to be put at risk rather than take responsibility for their own failures.

Note to the liberal media: STOP TALKING ABOUT BIG BIRD. Report on Obama's lies about Benghazi.
