According to TwinCities.com, it was Prince.
He didn't win a Grammy. He didn't perform. He was a presenter. That's it.
Minnesota's own Prince, 54, nearly brought the show to a standstill by doing little more than gracing the stage. Clad in a black hoodie, oversized sunglasses and a Mad Max-esque necklace across his bare chest, the Purple One presented the record of the year award to Belgian-Australian singer/songwriter Gotye for "Somebody That I Used to Know." "I love this song," Prince said as read Gotye's name as the winner. And Gotye himself appeared rattled by Prince's mere presence, interrupting his own acceptance speech several times to give thanks to Prince as an inspiration.
Fun fact: Prince is living in my basement.
