Michelle Obama's Butt

I'm sure Michelle Obama would be the first to admit that her "posterior" is large.

I think she looks great, though sometimes she does make poor wardrobe choices, ones that negatively accentuate the disproportionate size of her behind. Sometimes she hides it well, sometimes she doesn't.

Let's be honest - the physical appearance of any public figure is critiqued. She's a celebrity. She's going to be treated like one.

The Queen of England isn't spared. Why should Queen Michelle?

First ladies don't get a pass. They've all been slammed for the perceived inadequacies of their hair, their bodies, their clothes.

That's what makes the Washington Post article by Krissah Thompson so weird.

She admits other first ladies have suffered the public scrutiny about their looks, but suggests that in Michelle Obama's case, it's racially based.

The latest public rant against Michelle Obama’s effort to promote low-calorie school lunches was recently caught on tape in Alabama — the usual protest against the federal government meddling in local business. And then it quickly found its way around to the first lady’s posterior.

“Fat butt Michelle Obama,” said Bob Grisham, a high school football coach who was surreptitiously recorded by one of his students. “Look at her. She looks like she weighs 185 or 190. She’s overweight.”

Grisham, who was suspended Monday, is neither the first nor the most high-profile person to feel moved to comment on the first lady’s physique. Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh has repeatedly called her Michelle “My Butt” Obama. And Rep. F. James Sensenbrenner, the Wisconsin Republican, issued an apology after he was caught commenting on her “large posterior.” (Grisham has also said he misspoke.)
Grisham was suspended?

Wow. The "public rant" wasn't all that public if it "was surreptitiously recorded by one of his students." It wasn't appropriate for a high school authority figure to make rude comments about Michelle Obama's weight, but suspension seems rather harsh, unless the school has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to commenting on others' physical appearance.

If Michelle Obama didn't lecture everyone in the country about our eating habits and shove her will on us, I think there would be less focus on her size.

Michelle Obama obviously is not the first first lady to be subjected to criticism for the way she looks. Hillary Clinton was accused of having “cankles” — slang for chubby ankles. One of her predecessors was immortalized in song by the group Mission of Burma: “I’m haunted by the freakish size of Nancy Reagan’s head /No way that thing came with that body.”

But what is it with Michelle Obama’s critics and the fixation with her derriere?

“We have a history in this country of white people not showing adequate respect for and devaluing the bodies of black women, and this most definitely falls in line with that,” says Ayana Byrd, the co-editor of the anthology “Naked: Black Women Bare All About Their Skin, Hair, Hips, Lips and Other Parts.” (Grisham, Limbaugh and Sensenbrenner are white men.)

...Her presence as first lady challenges the historic view of a black woman’s place and notions of beauty, says Michaela Angela Davis, a fashion expert who has campaigned for more positive images of black women in the media. “Michelle is black from a distance. She’s a real black girl,” Davis says. “A lot of people have tried to make diversity into this weird beige thing. Her presence is just really powerful to interject into the global consciousness.”

The first lady’s critics “are reacting to the culture in which they’ve grown up or they are using it as a code to racialize Michelle Obama and remind people that she’s black,” says Andra Gillespie, an associate professor of political science at Emory University. “It is unreasonable to expect a nearly 50-year-old woman to have the body of a 25-year-old. She looks great for her age.”
With all due respect, this is a load of crap.

The fact that Michelle Obama carries some extra weight in certain areas of her body and the fact that people comment on that reality have nothing to do with her race.

She's a very attractive woman, but not flawless.

Are we not allowed to speak the truth?

Certainly, making negative comments about how the first lady looks is impolite. In my opinion, apologies are in order when such comments are made in a public forum for public consumption. People should be held accountable for their remarks.

However, are we really to conclude that Wisconsin's Jim Sensenbrenner was using "code to racialize Michelle Obama and remind people that she’s black"?

That's just idiotic.

SNL: Martin Luther King, Jr. and Obama (Video)

Saturday Night Live's cold open was a little weird.

It was Inauguration night, the festivities over, and Obama (Jay Pharoah) was sitting alone in the White House having a beer.

Then, the ghost of Martin Luther King, Jr. (Kenan Thompson) appeared.

Obama wanted to talk about weighty matters. King was more interested in talking about Beyonce. He was yapping about Michelle's bangs. This was not King, the great moral leader. This was King the buffoon.

Funny or inappropriate?

I'm not allowed to judge. I'm white and politically conservative. If I comment, I'll be called a racist.

I do think it's funny that the SNL Leftists are more comfortable mocking Martin Luther King than Obama.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

Today, we celebrate the life of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Text of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech, August 28, 1963, Lincoln Memorial, Washington, D.C.

If Dr. King were still alive, he'd be 84. I wonder how  he would react to the playing of the race card, and the ridiculous, unfounded charges of racism so unfairly applied, and the ever-growing list of allegedly racial "code words."

Would he condemn that behavior?

I hope so.

Would he engage in it?

I hope not.

I like to think that Dr. King would not be an advocate of the soft bigotry of low expectations.

I like to think that he would not approve of the culture of dependency.

I like to think that Dr. King would encourage freedom, personal responsibility, and opportunities to determine one's lot in life rather than supporting the subjugation of the people to a massive, centralized government.

Jason Whitlock, the NRA, and the KKK (Audio)

Jason Whitlock, that sage Bob Costas quoted when pontificating during halftime on Sunday Night Football, decided to take things up a notch and blame the NRA for the crime committed by Jovan Belcher.

This much is clear: BELCHER is a murderer. He's a criminal.

He shot and killed himself after he shot the mother of his infant daughter nine times, murdering her.

Because there will be no trial, no judgement, no sentence, the criminal nature of this case is being neglected.

This notion that Belcher deserves some sympathy for his suffering, for being a tortured soul, must not displace his merciless act.

Belcher chose to kill a woman in cold blood.

A gun didn't do that. A gun doesn't do anything. Belcher used a gun to commit murder.

The discussion should be about the criminal, not his weapon of choice. Belcher, though dead, still needs to be declared what he is - a cold-blooded killer.

Instead of focusing on that reality, Whitlock is exploiting a woman's murder. He's using his "fame" to make outrageous statements about the NRA. Whitlock clearly wants to stay in the spotlight. It's a sick little dance.

From NewsBusters:

Kansas City sportswriter Jason Whitlock loves to stoke controversy. So after he blamed Jovan Belcher's murder-suicide on the "gun culture" -- inspiring NBC Sports lecturer Bob Costas -- in an interview with Roland Martin, he added fuel to the fire by claiming "the NRA is the new KKK."

...

JASON WHITLOCK: Sports gets so much attention, and people tune out the real world, that I try to take advantage of the opportunity to talk about the real world when sports lends itself to that and try to open people’s eyes. You know, I did not go as far as I’d like to go because my thoughts on the NRA and America’s gun culture – I believe the NRA is the new KKK. And that the arming of so many black youths, uh, and loading up our community with drugs, and then just having an open shooting gallery, is the work of people who obviously don’t have our best interests [at heart].

I think it’s obvious if you’ve traveled abroad, and traveled to countries where they have legitimate gun laws, that we don’t have to have what we have in America, where people somehow think a gun enhances their liberty, and that people somehow think a gun makes them safer. It just doesn’t. A gun turns some kids listening to music into a murder scene. And uh, you know, if you don’t have a gun, you drive home. You know, kids listening to some loud music, you don’t like it, you go home and complain to your wife. But when you have a gun, you open fire, potentially, and take the life of a child.
Here's the audio:

"I believe the NRA is the new KKK."

"A gun turns some kids listening to music into a murder scene."

Whitlock's statements are absolutely ludicrous.

I wonder if Costas agrees that the NRA is the new KKK. Does Costas believe the NRA is arming black young people?

I wonder if Costas thinks that a gun, an inanimate object, actually turns kids listening to music into a murder scene.

Gee, how would that work?

A gun crashes a group of kids innocently listening to music and commits murder?

A gun cannot do that.

Whitlock made a fool of himself. Costas went along for the ride.

John McCain Misses Benghazi Briefing

Obama and his allies, the media Leftists, are trashing John McCain because he dared to challenge Obama about Benghazi. He dared to speak up.

Naturally, the New York Times attacks McCain, punishing him for demanding accountability on the part of Obama and his surrogates.

The Leftists are crucifying McCain, criticizing him for missing a briefing on Benghazi.

Poor John McCain. The senior senator from Arizona, former presidential candidate and general Republican big-man-in-Washington was so busy on Wednesday complaining about President Obama’s handling of the Benghazi mission killings that he just didn’t have time to do his actual job and attend a hearing on the Benghazi mission killings.

Mr. McCain has said he wants to get to the bottom of what he seems absolutely certain was a catastrophic bungling of the Libyan situation by Mr. Obama and his team. He is proposing holding “Watergate-style” hearings on the matter, with lots of witnesses and of course, lots of television cameras.

But yesterday, when the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee received a classified briefing on the Benghazi issue, Mr. McCain was absent. His spokesman Brian Rogers blamed a “scheduling error.”
CNN's Dana Bash is also slamming McCain. Wolf Blitzer joins in the fun.

Here's video:

Good grief.

This Benghazi cover-up is a disgrace.

The story should not be about McCain's attendance at a briefing, especially given that Obama, the PRESIDENT, doesn't bother to show up for his daily intelligence briefings.

The liberal media didn't care about the revelation that Obama was MIA for his PDB, attending only about 38 percent. No, of course not. They're much more concerned about McCain missing one briefing on Benghazi.

Obama, as always, relies on the lib media to support his narrative and they're eager to oblige.

It's outrageous.

Instead of digging for answers about Obama's handling of Benghazi, they're berating McCain.

Sometimes, I really can't believe how over-the-top the media are when it comes to the lengths they go to protect their beloved leader, Obama.

I can't believe how shamelessly they play the race card.

What Susan Rice did, giving the American people false information on five Sunday shows in one day, has nothing to do with the color of her skin or her gender. Obama sent her out to lie about Benghazi. Maybe she didn't know she was deceiving Americans, but she did play a part in an orchestrated cover-up. Her race and sex have nothing to do with McCain wanting the truth about the 9/11/12 Benghazi attack.

The racial BS from the Leftists drives me nuts.

Dana Bash reported how a "Democratic source" framed McCain and Lindsey Graham's call for an investigation into the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi. The source wants the focus of the story to be on the Republicans attacking Susan Rice, framing it in racial terms.
DANA BASH: I talked to a good Democratic source here asking, "Do you think if she is nominated you could overcome a filibuster?" The answer was yes, and I'd have to tell you this, that this source said, 'If anybody wants to watch two old white guys,' speaking of course of Graham and McCain, 'beat up on a black woman, I'll sell tickets to that.' So there is politics all around here.
I am so sick of this "old white guys" stuff.

We had a terrorist attack on our consulate. We have four Americans killed. And Obama and his allies are deflecting from the legitimate concerns about that terrorist attack by turning the issue into a racial attack on Susan Rice.

Disgraceful.

In reality, the Leftists have turned being white into a fatal flaw. It's crazy. Being white is not a crime.

Furthermore, Lindsey Graham is not exactly old. He's six years older than Obama. Is Obama an "old half-white, half-black guy"? (Sounds offensive, doesn't it?)

I never heard Ted Kennedy marginalized as an "old white guy." Bill Clinton is 66. No one is beating up on him for being an "old white guy."

Harry Reid is about to turn 73. When he would beat up on Condoleezza Rice, his age and race never were discussed as factoring into his motivation.

Do the Leftists realize how inconsistent their remarks are when it comes to age and race?

Do they realize how ridiculous they appear for bashing McCain for missing a single meeting when Obama habitually relies on his "Sgt. Schultz" routine?

Stephen and Nancy Einhorn - Voter Fraud Billboards

Dan Bice, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, seems to enjoy causing conservatives grief, with no concern for their families.

That's the case with Stephen and Nancy Einhorn. The couple who paid for the voter fraud billboards in Wisconsin had a contract with Clear Channel Outdoor, permitting them to remain anonymous.

The Leftists had a hissy fit over the innocuous billboards. They claimed they were racist, placed in minority neighborhoods, meant to cause fear and suppress the vote.

How does a factual message about the law, "voter fraud is a felony," suppress the vote?

It doesn't. There was nothing sinister about the billboards.

The Left's witch hunt resulted in exposing the Einhorns.

Bice and the Journal Sentinel determined the revelation newsworthy. So, Bice writes about the Einhorns and provides information about their family, more than just the family name.

What's the purpose, other than to give the Leftists another target for harassment?

From Bice's exposé:

Scot Ross, executive director of One Wisconsin Now, issued a statement Monday raising several questions for the Einhorns.

"Perhaps their Chicago public relations firm could answer why the Einhorns only felt it was necessary to target legal voters in minority communities, and why they didn’t feel the need to do this 'public service' throughout communities across Wisconsin where a majority of the residents are white," Ross asked in his email. "Or put their name on it, rather than hiding behind the cowardly veil of anonymity."
This is crap.

The Einhorns did not only feel it was "necessary to target legal voters in minority communities." That's completely distorting the message.

I was aware of a billboard in a Wisconsin community where the overwhelming majority of residents are white.

The billboard was on Port Washington Road in Ozaukee County, just north of Highway C.

It was NOT even close to being in a Milwaukee inner city minority neighborhood. This billboard was not in an African-American or Hispanic area.

This campaign against the billboards and the Einhorns is dishonest, but that doesn't stop Bice from picking up the Left's deceptive narrative. It doesn't stop him from propping it up, revealing that the Einhorns made donations to Republican politicians, including Scott Walker. (GASP!)

Clear Channel Outdoor buckled under pressure from the very unreasonable Left. I guess Clear Channel Outdoor was afraid to take on the race card.

I commend the Einhorns for caring about the integrity of our elections. They deserve our support and gratitude.

Voter fraud should concern everyone, regardless of one's skin color or political affiliation.

Clean, fair elections should be a goal for all. Voter fraud disenfranchises every legal voter. It's a crime.

The Einhorns should not have been treated this way. What crime did they commit? Exercising free speech and simply stating the LAW, sending a message meant to uphold our electoral process.

The fact that they were bullied into taking down the billboards by the hysterical Left is a disgrace. The fact that Clear Channel Outdoor betrayed them is inexcusable.

Maya Angelou: Obama Email

Here's an email about early voting from Maya Angelou, acting on behalf of the Obama campaign:
Dear Mary,

I am not writing to you as a black voter, or a woman voter, or as a voter who is over 70 years old and six feet tall. I am writing to you as a representative of this great country -- as an American.

It is your job to vote. It is your responsibility, your right, and your privilege. You may be pretty or plain, heavy or thin, gay or straight, poor or rich.

But remember this: In an election, every voice is equally powerful -- don't underestimate your vote. Voting is the great equalizer.

Your vote might make the difference. Don't fool around with this: You can vote early in Wisconsin, so find your early vote polling location and do it now.

Once you've done that, make sure your friends know exactly where they can vote early, too.

As a country, we can scarcely perceive the magnitude of our progress.

My grandmother and my uncle experienced circumstances that would break your heart. When they went to vote, they were asked impossible questions like, "How many angels can dance on the head of a pin?" When they couldn't answer, they couldn't vote.

I once debated with the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. about whether an African American would ever be elected president. He believed it would happen within the next 40 years at the time -- I believed it would never happen within my lifetime.

I have never been happier to have been proven wrong.

And since President Barack Obama's historic election, we've moved forward in courageous and beautiful ways. More students can afford college, and more families have access to affordable health insurance. Women have greater opportunities to get equal pay for equal work.

Yet as Rev. King wrote, "All progress is precarious."

So don't sit on the sidelines. Don't hesitate. Don't have any regrets. Vote.

You don't have to wait until Election Day. Voting has already begun in Wisconsin -- so go, rise up, and cast your ballot early:

http://my.barackobama.com/Find-Your-Early-Vote-Location

And make sure everyone in your life knows where they can vote early, too:

http://my.barackobama.com/Help-Your-Friends-Vote-Early

Your vote is not only important. It's imperative.

Thank you,

Dr. Maya Angelou
Her story of what her grandmother and her uncle experienced, being turned away at the polls, should serve as a reminder that we shouldn't take our right to vote for granted.

It's also a reminder of the injustice experienced by citizens in our country. When we vote, we should remember how some Americans were denied participation in the electoral process, because of their skin color or because they were women.

Angelou makes note of Obama being an African American president, as if that should influence how we vote. It's not supposed to be about the color of one's skin but the content of one's character, right?

I'm somewhat concerned about Angelou's statement connecting Obama's presidency with Dr. Martin Luther King's quote, "All progress is precarious." That following the story of her relatives being denied the right to vote and the talk of electing an African American president suggests, albeit in a subtle fashion, that failing to vote for Obama and allowing Mitt Romney to be elected could reverse racial equality in the country.

I wish Angelou would express her objection to Obama's oppression of Catholics and his disregard for the Bill of Rights.

Her appeal to vote early isn't the problem. Her support for Obama isn't the problem. The problem is Angelou's racial message.

It's unfortunate.

Voter Fraud Billboards Coming Down

The billboards in southeastern Wisconsin with the message "Voter Fraud is a Felony" are being taken down.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Clear Channel Outdoor is taking down the "Voter Fraud is a Felony!" billboards that drew protests from community groups that labeled them efforts to suppress the vote in low-income and minority communities.

And the billboard company also said that it's working with the City of Milwaukee Election Commission to do digital bulletins, digital posters and transit shelter totems as space becomes available to promote a positive election message that states: "Skip the Election Day Line - Vote Early."

Early in-person absentee voting starts Monday Jim Cullinan, vice president of corporate communications for Clear Channel Outdoor, said in a statement: "We reviewed the situation, and in light of the fact that these billboards violate our policy of not accepting anonymous political ads, we asked the client how they would prefer to work with us to bring the boards into conformance with our policy.

"The client thought the best solution was to take the boards down, so we are in the process of removing them."

...The billboards, which went up two weeks ago, state that they are paid for by "a private family foundation."

They are similar to billboards that went up in 2010 that warned about voter fraud and were also paid for by a "private family foundation," which also was not identified in that case.

..."The decision made by Clear Channel to take these voter intimidation billboard down and, in addition, put up positive billboards promoting voting gets us one small-yet-significant step closer to a stronger democracy," [Mike Wilder, director of the African-American Roundtable and a member of the staff of Citizen Action of Wisconsin] said.
Obviously, the client prefers to remain anonymous, and since that violates Clear Channel's policy the billboards are being removed.

That's fair. It's the client's choice.

What's not fair is to claim that the billboards were racist. They were not just located in minority neighborhoods.

It's not fair to claim that they were "voter intimidation" billboards.

If the billboards were to be seen as a voter intimidation tactic, then the law, that voter fraud is a felony, has to be considered voter intimidation. That, of course, is ridiculous.

PPP, Conservative Media, Obama, and Whites

The Leftists are obsessed with race. It seems to permeate their view of everything, at least when it's convenient.

Without question, they equate conservatism with racism.

It drives me nuts. It's completely unjustifiable, but they don't care. It's much easier to charge one with racism than to debate one on issues.

Media Trackers exposes that a recent poll by Public Policy Polling, a Left-leaning operation, asked Wisconsinites if they thought conservative media figures want to make whites think Obama hates them.

It's a shockingly inappropriate question.

Brian Sikma writes:

According to an exclusive report by the Washington Post, PPP engaged in race baiting in its last Wisconsin poll in early October.

Jennifer Rubin of the Post’s Right Turn blog last week drew attention to an odd question asked by PPP of Wisconsin residents. “Do you think conservative media figures want to make white people think Barack Obama hates them, or not?” the incredible question read.

Rubin quotes a Madison resident who was uncomfortable with how the question was asked. Questions just prior to the one apparently pitting white people against Barack Obama asked respondents about their favorable or unfavorable views of Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity, both conservative media figures, as well as the Daily Caller and Drudge Report, generally right-leaning national online news sources.

Respected pollsters on both sides of the ideological divide condemned the racial tones of the PPP question as poor polling methodology.
The Leftists simply cannot deal with conservative media figures.

Something about them makes them flip out.

I think the Leftists lack tolerance for conservatives because they are incapable of believing that their positions aren't accepted by all. They can't bear the fact that their ideas aren't shared across the board. They can't fathom the possibility that they are wrong.

They resort to the typical tactics of Saul Alinsky and his Rules for Radicals.

One such rule:

Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.
Conservative media figures are easy for the Leftists to identify. They can easily make them the personification of evil, in this case being the disseminators of racist propaganda.

Imagine being asked, "Do you think conservative media figures want to make white people think Barack Obama hates them, or not?"

It's really sick.

PPP should have asked, "Do you think conservative media figures wear KKK hoods and robes?"

Clearly, PPP is not a respectable polling organization.

Voter Fraud Billboards - Milwaukee

VOTER SUPPRESSION IN MILWAUKEE!

I heard about this story listening to Charlie Sykes this morning.

Democrats, union members, and other Leftsts are claiming minority neighborhoods in Milwaukee are being targeted with a billboard campaign they claim threatens people.

I thought it was odd, since one of those billboards, supposedly directed at minorities in Milwaukee's inner city, is on Port Washington Road in Ozaukee County just north of Highway C.

That is NOT even close to being a Milwaukee inner city minority neighborhood. This is not an African-American or Hispanic area.

VOTER SUPPRESSION IN OZAUKEE COUNTY!!!

Whites are being targeted!!!

When I first saw the billboard, I liked it. It's a good reminder to all that it's a felony to screw with the voting process. I want my vote to count. I want clean, fair elections.

Nonetheless, the narrative from the Obama coalition is that the billboards are targeting minorities.

Lib queen bee Rachel Maddow is spreading the word.

These fools don't seem to realize that the billboard campaign is not a minority thing.

From the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Billboards posted in low-income and minority areas throughout the city that warn "Voter Fraud is a Felony" are another attempt at voter suppression and should be taken down, several community groups said Monday.

"Clear Channel, take these billboards down," said Mike Wilder, director of the African-American Round Table, as others chanted in agreement.

Clear Chanel Outdoor is the advertising company that owns the billboards.

The billboard states that it's paid for by "a private family foundation."

Wilder said he's counted about 20 of these billboards in the African-American and Latino communities.

In addition to warning about voter fraud, the sign adds that the penalty for voter fraud is "Up to 3½ years and $10,000 fine."

"Voter rights are under attack every which way possible," Wilder and others said, adding that a new state law requiring voters to show photo identification was halted in the courts.

The billboards are similar to ones posted in the fall of 2010 in advance of the November elections.

"This is the same anti-voter garbage from 2010," said Scot Ross, executive director of the Institute for One Wisconsin, a liberal special-interest group. "Wisconsin knows the only real fraud is partisans who attack the franchise to further their political goals."

Nathan Conrad, communications director for the Republican Party of Wisconsin, said the party "takes election fraud and voter integrity very seriously. However we have no connection to the billboards in question put up by a private citizen."

"We want Clean Channel to act responsibly and the replace these billboards with information to inform voters and give them information on how to vote," said Jennifer Epps-Addison, of the liberal group Citizen Action of Wisconsin. "These billboards are meant to confuse and scare voters."
What a load!

These billboards don't confuse or scare voters.

If voters are too stupid to understand that voting fraudulently is a crime, then they certainly aren't capable of making an informed choice at the polls.

Does it confuse or scare people when billboards remind people not to drive drunk?

Does it confuse or scare people when signs warn people to slow down in construction zones or face steep fines?

Give me a break!

...Jim Cullinan, vice president of corporate communications for Clear Channel Outdoor, said in an email that 85 billboards contain the message, and that they will not be taken down.

He said the billboards are not only in the African-American and Hispanic areas, but also throughout the Milwaukee area.
That's absolutely true.

I object to the tactics of intimidation by these groups demanding that the billboards be taken down.

Apparently, they have a problem with the truth. They have a problem with free speech.

Maybe if Democrat Donovan Riley, a white guy and 2006 state senate candidate, wouldn't have voted twice if he had seen the billboard.

Not much has been made about this story: DNC fires Obama campaign staffer for assisting voter fraud attempt.

It seems that the public needs to understand that tampering with our elections is a serious crime.

I'm all for suppressing crime.

MPD - Death Threats

Some Milwaukee citizens have declared war on the Milwaukee Police Department.

Unbelievable.

From TMJ4:

Threats against Milwaukee police officers have the Milwaukee Police Department making changes.

It involves the controversial case of a man, Derek Williams, who died in police custody last year.

Sources close to the department say Milwaukee's Police Department banned one-man squads for the officers' protection.

This comes as parts of the Milwaukee community are reaching a breaking point with the police department. Some groups have called for Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn's resignation, others are going beyond that.

"I asked a guy the other day, he said... 'If we take one of them, they're gonna know what we're talking about,'" described community activist Tory Lowe.

Death threats have reportedly pushed Milwaukee's Police Department to assign two officers to every squad car.

"Occupy the Hood" organizer Khalil Coleman understands the frustration. He worries things may escalate if something isn't done soon.

"We hope that we can keep a peaceful city, but in order for us to do that, we have to begin to address these critical issues," says Coleman.

...A spokeswoman for Milwaukee's Police Department says that the department cannot and will not discuss deployment strategies.
Video:

Death threats. Disgusting.

I hope liberal media outlets, like the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, are proud of their role in inciting this insanity.

The Journal Sentinel has been relentless in slamming the Milwaukee Police Department and Police Chief Ed Flynn.

Its witch hunt now appears to be resulting in a truly dangerous situation for Milwaukee police officers.

Justice for Derek Williams is not achieved by threatening the lives of police officers.

Why doesn't Tom Barrett meet with these "community leaders"? Now is the time for leadership.

I supposed he's just been too busy campaigning against Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan with Big Bird.

Black Middle Class and Obama

Obama's economic policies have hurt all Americans, regardless of race.

According to the Pew Charitable Trusts' Economic Mobility Project, and the National Urban League, the black middle class has been been hit particularly hard.

From Newsmax:

The economic downturn and long recession have hit the black middle class hard, wiping out gains made in the last 30 years, with plummets in wealth and high rates of foreclosures, the Chicago Tribune reported.

It’s projected that 68 percent of middle –class blacks will not do as well as the previous generation, according to the Pew Charitable Trusts' Economic Mobility Project, and the National Urban League reported that most economic gains that the black middle class made during the last 30 years have been wiped out by the economic downturn, according to the Tribune.

"This is a very dire situation," Valerie Rawlston Wilson, an economist with the National Urban League Policy Institute, told the Tribune. "Even for blacks who have college degrees, we've seen a doubling of their unemployment (rate) between 2007 and 2010."

The nation’s unemployment rate is 7.8 percent. For blacks, it’s 13.4 percent. The average black household's wealth fell by more than half from 2005-2009 while white household wealth fell 16 percent to $113,149, according to the Tribune.

"For every $20 whites have in wealth, blacks have just $1," Paul Taylor, director of Pew's Social and Demographic Trends project, told the Tribune. "And in many cases, households get a boost because they inherit wealth from parents and grandparents. Blacks for most of history haven't been able to accumulate that type of wealth."

From 2009 to 2012, median household income for blacks has declined by 11.1 percent, compared to the decline for whites of 5.2 percent and for Hispanics of 4.1 percent.
Will blacks continue to support Obama with the same unanimity they showed in the 2008 election, even though he has so seriously failed them?

Surely, a greater percentage of middle class blacks will vote for their personal economic prosperity rather than the class warfare BS Obama is hawking.

It will be interesting to see if racism is a factor in the 2012 election.

Will middle class blacks vote based on Obama's skin color?

Obama's Race Speeches: Side-By-Side Comparison (Video)

This is worth watching.

From Breitbart:

Sean Hannity provided a side-by-side comparison of the Hampton University speech on race that Barack Obama gave in 2007 and his speech in 2008 that he gave when he was forced to disavow his pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
