The split screen is the story of this debate.
I expected Joe Biden to act like a buffoon.
However, I didn't expect him to channel the sighing, condescending Al Gore of the first presidential debate in 2000.
Biden's interruptions and laughter and smirking and head-shaking while Paul Ryan is talking is not good. Every time Ryan begins speaking, Biden thinks it's his turn.
Biden seems drunk. No gravitas.
